Curtiss C-46F Commando [1944] N78774 (s/n 44-78774) Confederate Air Force Airshow, Denton, Texas - June 1984 Delivered to the USAAF as a C-46F-1-CU. After her service in WWII, Curtiss C-46F Commando 44-78774 was registered to Pan American World Airways as N74178, before being bought by Riddle Airlines, who later sold her to Argonaut AW. The aircraft was re-registered as N608SE when she was bought by Ortner Air Services. In February 1978, the Confederate Air Force acquired N608SE from Plymouth Leasing and re-registered her N78774, after her serial number. She was obtained by the CAF's Oklahoma Wing, who dutifully restored her and dubbed her The Tinker Belle. The pilot of The Tinker Belle fires up her port engine in preparation for a flight.
