This is where it all happens. Sadly, the palm tree is no longer there.
Lots of fun happenings happened here.
The sweetest, most lovable cat in the world. Oh, to be a Stillwell cat....
This would be my home for the next four years. Not bad, really, but it went downhill later. Sad.
Tight and cozy, as only a trailer can be.
Again, tight and cozy, but very functional. No having to dash around all over the place to cook dinner.
I love that movie! Spartan setting, to be sure, but again, everything in its place. I still have the table.
Yeah, well, there ya go! No great shakes.
Lone Palm Resort
They moved me from the Lower 40 to RV Row and settled me under the lone palm at the end. Also a hackberry tree. Didn't care much for the hackberry, as it was full of birds that shit on my picnic table, which showed up later.
Lone Palm Under Moonlight
As is typical in this area, the power goes out from time to time, often for no apparent reason. I took the opportunity to take a photo of the place in candlelight. Pretty cool!
Hallie's Hall of Fame
This is a quaint little museum that I highly recommend if you're visiting the area.
Any covered area over a porch or picnic table or whatever is called a ramada.
All kinds of really cool tools and stuff hanging around.
Inside now and checking out Hallie's hats in the display case.
Fully functional fireplace in the seating area where they put on interpretive programs.
They really need a larger TV for this place.
Cool piece of machinery!
So Many Points!
Moving Into The Living Area
This says it all about life on the plains.
I just can't get enough of these boots! Absolutely classic!
Hair Waving Machine
This thing looks like something out of a horror movie!
